Developing conceptual frameworks + experimental designs that guide project work. Manage + analyze large-scale data files for research. Serve as client contact for analytical + statistical research expertise. Performing policy analysis. Developing case studies. Conducting site visits. Making presentations to government clients. Providing leadership in initiating business development activities for current and new clients. Design appropriate work assignments in accordance w/project scope + assume responsibility for the quality of the work assigned to others. Identify potential opportunities through environmental scans. Little domestic travel may be involved. May undergo standard pre-hire background checks.
Must have PhD in Economics, Public Policy, or related Social Science field and 3 years of rel experience in analytical or statistical research. Also requires the following skills (3 years experience) in: STATA; analysis of large-scale data sets, and the design of experiments and quasi-experiments; and quantitative research on policy-relevant topics using advanced methods such as fixed effects, regression discontinuity, or instrument variables.
