Job Description
Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW!) is a local unit of government that receives over $10 million in federal and state workforce development grants that will help assists job seekers with their career and education opportunities. In 2020, we provided services remotely to 1,500 job seekers and served 2,845 participants through the various workforce development programs.
The Business Resource Coach (BRC) provides services to Business Resource Network (BRN) employers. The BRC is responsible for providing coaching, financial literacy training, assistance navigating resources, and providing referrals to key community partners focusing on assisting employees to overcome barriers to continued employment.
On a typical day, you might...
- Recruit individual employees to engage in the program while on-site at local employers.
- Provide resources or referrals to employees with immediate needs.
- Coach employees on necessary soft skills to overcome barriers to continued employment (I.e., coaching on professional ways to address conflict with co-workers).
- Create and maintain physical files and digital files, as well as update both Salesforce and OSMIS (two databases currently being utilized by the program).
- Collaborate with peers to meet program metrics.
- Work with Member Employers’ Human Resource professionals to identify and assist employees with barriers to continued employment.
- Working with documents such as the Individual Service Strategy (ISS) or Support Service requests to assist in barrier removal services.

Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000
