College of the Ozarks
Reporting to the Dean of Development, this role will work closely with development, public relations, alumni relations, and administration to strengthen fundraising practices at College of the Ozarks.
The Director will work to promote a culture of philanthropy, both internally and externally, through donor and prospect engagement.
The Director will work with the Dean of Development and Development Manager to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies for planned giving/estate gifts, which will focus on increasing philanthropic revenue for the institution.
The Director will assist the Dean of Development in the management of foundation relations, foundation prospecting and alignment, and foundation/grant applications.
The Director will work with the Dean of Development and Development Manager to examine efficiencies and automation in gift processing, rsvp management, file management, online giving, and data entry.
The Director will support the student awards ceremony, an annual spring event.
The Director will provide support for and coordination of donor events, activities, homecoming, receptions, etc.
The Director may be asked to travel as needed.
Qualities:
- The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and high social and emotional intelligence.
- The ideal candidate will agree with the mission and vision of the College of the Ozarks and act as a representative of those ideals.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of development/fundraising experience.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and have experience using Raiser’s Edge.
- A master’s degree is preferred.
