Responsible for preparing clinic financial reporting and internal accounting policies and procedures, including the general ledger, financial reporting, capital and operating expenses, budgets, and cash management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Directs and maintains all general accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, annual financial audits, monthly financial statement preparation, monthly variance analysis.
- Prepares monthly financial statements.
- Formulates financial planning activities including annual operating budget preparation and quarterly updates.
- Monthly accounts payable and cash management.
- Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements.
- Responsible for monthly cashier audits.
- Analyzes expenditures, develops financing strategies, and ensures appropriate income/cash flow.
- Works with IT on financial computer operations and conversions.
- Provides monthly reporting of physician production and ancillary analysis.
- Responsible for accounting of physician annual CME/dues budgets, and point distribution.
- Quarterly and annual tax reports. (sales/1099's)
- Maintains executive and physician Payroll.
- Retirement Plan distributions, bi-weekly deposits, and election form distribution.
- Maintains capital expenditure listing.
- Maintains strictest of confidentiality.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in finance or related field experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of fiscal management experience including one year with a health care organization preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the principles of financial management sufficient to manage staff and fiscal requirements of the clinic.
- Knowledge of clinic financial and budgetary practices to develop annual budget, analyze financial data and patterns, and prepare financial statements.
- Knowledge of clinic's strategic business objectives and employee performance objectives.
- Knowledge of governmental and health care fiscal regulations and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs and applications.
SKILLS:
- Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
- Skill in analyzing clinic operations as they relate to financial objectives, costs, and rate levels.
