Controller

FIRST STATE BANK has a career opportunity for a Controller at its Mendota office.  

The Controller will provide support to the Chief Financial Officer with day-to-day accounting operations. The Controller is responsible for overseeing the Accounting department. Duties include compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting, as well as overseeing and preparing monthly financial, liquidity and capital reports. This person will be responsible for the preparation of quarterly, annual and other regulatory reports. They will act as a liaison for FDIC, internal and external examinations.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years Controller experience in a banking/financial environment
• CPA preferred
• Proficient in accounting 
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and Fiserv (Preferred)
• Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment
