Geekplus America Inc. seeks applicants for the following full-time position at its Carlsbad, CA worksite:

 

Materials Science Engineer: Provide plastics, metals, alloys, and chemical engineering guidance and supports on molded trim and support components including specifications, qualifications, and design for manufacturing and research Geek+ automatons and warehouse robotic systems and machinery. Lead material suppliers to develop new technologies for specific smart warehouse programs within a given timeline. Developing fundamental understanding of structure-property relationships. Develop new material characterization methods, conduct tests, data analysis, and troubleshooting. Leads design and development of technically complex manufacturing processes including material selection, parameter optimization, equipment, metrology and system design to enable new product designs and functional requirements. Work as a key contributor to research and innovation projects in the areas of materials, adhesives, polymers, fabrication, and more. Help identify and develop innovative solutions to materials, processing and manufacturing challenges, and support the launch of new products in a team-based and fast-paced environment.

 

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field plus 3 years of professional experience as a Materials Engineer, Cost Estimator, or related occupation. In lieu of a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field plus five years of post-baccalaureate professional experience as a Materials Engineer, Cost Estimator, or related occupation.

 

Education or experience must include: Epicor10, Autocad, data analysis, cost estimation, logistics, design blueprints.

 

Any suitable combination of experience, education, or training is acceptable.
