Loan Operations Specialist

Starting pay $17.00 per hour

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide assistance to loan officers in all facets of the loan process from application to payoff.  Complete and maintain all documentation and paperwork necessary for loans and loan compliance.  Represents the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands business relationships and enhances the Bank’s image contributing to its growth.  Provide excellent customer service in all customer and employee interactions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Fully knowledgeable of all bank loan products and services.
• Process loan documents
• File maintenance on loans  
• Book loans and disburse funds
• Process payments and payoffs
• Maintain loan files of all required documents
• Assure documents are in compliance
• Provide excellent service to all bank customers

OPERATIONS, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

Operations:

• Process loan documents, request flood determinations and appraisals.
• Check all file maintenance for new loans, renewals and advances.
• Review posted and non-posted loan transactions.
• Process and mail loan notices.
• Enter loans on software system, disburse loan proceeds and advances, check post closing documents for compliance and signatures.
• Pull files for all paid loans, prepare and process deeds of release and lien releases, 
• Handle mail, monitor insurance, process payments.
• Scan loan documents and credit file information, perform quality check on scanned items, complete exception maintenance.
• Review escrow addenda's and disburse tax and insurance payments.
• Fully knowledgeable of bank policies and procedures, respond to all customer inquires, handle requests from loan officers.
• Attend all required operational and compliance training.
• Perform notary functions as needed.

• Greet customers when they enter the department area.
• Use eye contact and smile when greeting customers.
• Complete customer inquiries promptly.
• Complete loan officer requests promptly.
• Keep daily responsibilities current.
• Proficient in all areas of the department.
• Answer telephone by 2nd ring.
