Accounting Technician

Northstar Community Services District invites applications for the position of Accounting Technician General Description The Northstar Community Services District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accounting Technician. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clerical accounting and bookkeeping tasks involving the processing, maintenance, and review of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Receipts; preparation and processing of routine bank reconciliations and deposits; administrative and clerical functions supporting District operations; assisting with the answering, screening and directing of incoming calls; and providing support for District initiatives, programs, and departments. Qualified applicants must possess strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. The ideal candidate will show initiative and the technical and soft skills required to excel in a small agency setting. Previous local government experience and Springbrook software experience is a plus.

Applicants that have been determined to best fit the needs of the position will be contacted the week of October 19, 2022 and invited to an oral interview designed to assess one's general fitness for successful performance in the position. First round interviews will be scheduled for the week of October 26, 2022. At the conclusion of the oral interview candidates may be asked to complete a short quiz that will be used to help evaluate the technical knowledge necessary for success in the position.
