Accountant I or II

Accountant I or II - Town of Truckee, CA (Accountant I $29.96/hr to $40.45/hour or Accountant II $33.03/hour to $45.59/hour)

The Accountant I or II works in the Administrative Services Division supporting the Town’s Finance Department and is responsible for processing the Town’s bi-weekly payroll, posting daily and weekly revenue collections, coding accounts receivable invoices, creating general ledger journal entries, and bank and balance sheet account reconciliations. This position receives, calculates and audits information to ensure accuracy of information within existing policy, and troubleshoots variances in a timely manner. Tasks are performed using MS Excel, accounting systems and other related computer programs. This position provides ample opportunity for the candidate to reconcile, analyze and report data.
